A Class
for Every Child
Recreational
Gymnastics Program
GIANT Gymnastics recreation program consists of classes
for boys and girls ages 7 and
above. Levels 1 and 2 are for our beginners and
those coming from our Preschool programs. Gymnasts will learn
the skills to build a solid foundation for the next
levels. Level 3 is for those
gymnasts who are looking to expand upon their basic foundation of
gymnastic skills. Level 4 is for
experienced gymnasts who desire to learn higher level skills, but do
not necessarily want to commit to a competitive team program.
Skills will be learned on the vault, bars, beam, floor, trampolines,
and inground foam pit.
Our Boys
classes offer a beginning level of men's gymnastics.
Skills will be learned on the vault, bars, floor, pommel horse,
parallel bars, rings, trampolines and inground foam
pit.
Students can be evaluated by a Giant Gymnastics Staff member
for proper placement. Giant Gymnastics strictly adheres to USA
Gymnastics' 8:1 student/teacher ratio.
New
Curriculum
Giant Gymnastics curriculum parallels USA
Gymnastics' Junior optional Program. What Does this
mean? Every level will now be taught based upon the routines
created by the national governing body for gymnastics in the United
States(USAG). As gymnasts move through the levels at Giant
Gymnastics, they will learn routines based on proper progressions
through levels 1-4. Should they choose to accept an invitation
to the 'team', gymnasts will be better prepared for competitive
gymnastics. If another sport is in their future, they will be
better prepared with greater strength, agility, and
coordination. Gymnastics builds a foundation for any other
sport. Gymnastics is
Everywhere.
Special
Activities Throughout the
Year
Bring-A-Friend
Week
For one week
in every session, students are invited to bring a friend(close in
age) to class to experience the joy of gymnastics. Please stop
by or call the front desk for more
details.
Cartwheel-A-Thon
Giant Gymnastics hosts several Cartwheel-A-Thons each year to
help raise money for various charitable organizations.
Children's Miracle Network, St. Judes, and local children in the
community have all benefited from this great
fundraiser.
Class Olympics
Once a year students are invited to show off what they have
learned in our annual Class Olympics. Throughout the year
students work on mini routines in class - and then have the
opportunity to show family and friends!
